The Founders
Dr. Iman Albadar
Iman Albadar received her PhD in Linguistics from the University of Delaware, USA in 2021, and she is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Languages and Translation at Imam Mohammed Ibn Saud University, Riyadh, KSA. Her research broadly focuses on the production, acoustics, and perception of 1st and 2nd language speech sounds. She has also recently become interested in the question of what makes some children/adults much better language learners than others. During her work as a researcher in the Department of Linguistics and Cognitive Science at UDEL, she has found that difficulties in language learning are often rooted in one or more cognitive skills. Since then, she has become passionate about investigating the core cognitive skills responsible for learning and the possible ways to strengthen these skills. She believes that with the right approach, anyone can improve the skills they need to become a stronger learner and thinker. Her research interests and also her passion for transforming the lives of children and adults have led her to find the BrainRx program the most comprehensive and scientifically proven cognitive development program worldwide.
Dr. Mashael Altwijri
Mashael Altwijri is a mother of three boys and one little girl, whom she is passionate about enriching their environment to reach their highest potential, and she always hopes to widen the circle to positively impact the lives of many more children. Mashael earned her PhD in Child Development, Early Childhood Education from the University of Nebraska Lincoln, USA. During the five years at UNL, Mashael engaged in several research projects that aimed to promote infants’, toddlers’, and preschoolers’ early experiences and to enhance their developmental trajectories. One highlighted part of these projects is to assess children's executive functioning and language, social, and emotional development, and to provide data-driven support directed toward children and their families. Mashael is currently an Assistant Professor in the Early Childhood Department at Princess Nourah University, Riyadh, KSA. Two years since joining PNU, and living in Riyadh, Mashael has been witnessing the increasing demands and awareness among Saudi families to support their children’s learning and their overall well-being to maximize their future opportunities.
